Thank You Card
We needed thank you cards at work, so of course I volunteered!
Items needed:
White Cardstock
Stampin Up "Happy Watercolor"
Stampin Up "Tag Topper Scalloped" Punch
Stampin Up Blender Pens
Ink Pad - I used Stampin Up's Elegant Eggplant and Always Artichoke
Color Cardstock to coordinate with Ink
Ribbon to coordinate with Ink
Staz-On Black Ink
The first thing I did was to divide a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" white cardstock in half. Using one half, I cut my 2" strip to make the scalloped tag. Take the other half and fold in half to make the main section of your card.
Using the watercolor stamp, I first made the blotches by stamping the artichoke ink pad, scrap paper, then on the tag so it wouldn't be too dark.
I then stamped the flowers using the Staz-On Ink (I didn't use the whole stamp!) I have a lot of old Stampin Up word phase stamps, so I chose the "Many Thanks" from who knows what year! Use whatever saying you need.
Using Eggplant and Artichoke with my blending pens, I filled in the flowers and stems.
I attached the matching ribbon and then applied to the colored card stock with dimensions. Then attach it all to the white cardstock.
You can use this simple card for any occasions! Just stamp what you need!

Maggiano's Lemon Cookies
But, I'm going to teach you how to make these wonderful things.
- 1 1/2 sticks of butter room temp. (the recipe says unsalted, I used regular old Country Crock)
- 3/4 cup of white sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract
- a few pinches of salt (I used like 3 pinches, but my fingers are small, so you can guess)
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- Beat together the butter and sugar until it is fluffy.
- Add the egg yolks, vanilla, and salt, mix all together.
- Add flour slowly while beating. (the original says until just incorporated, but I mixed it till it was dough)
- Divide dough and roll into two logs. (the size of the so called logs does not matter in my opinion)
- Wrap the logs in wax paper, refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes. (When you do this turn your oven onto 350 degrees Fahrenheit so it's already ready.)
- Slice the logs into cookies (kind of like pre-made Pillsbury dough, I got 9 slices out of each log. I rolled the slices into balls and squished them a bit so they wouldn't be so round. I used a stone baking sheet, but a metal one works too)
- Bake the cookies between 15-20 minutes or until they look light gold, or like shortbread color.
- Let the cookies cool on a baking sheet. (This is when I started making the icing)
- Combine the powdered sugar and lemon juice together making icing. (I ended up using a little bit more than a cup of sugar and a few extra squirts of lemon juice to get all the cookies covered,)
- After the cookies have cooled spread the icing on the cookies (I just use a spoonful of it on each cookie, it's easist to just use a spoon to spread it any way.)
- Let the icing harden, and enjoy!

Pinterest WIN!
Hello all my fellow bloggers out there. This week I decided I actually have to do something I've seen on the beloved site Pinterest. So I decided to make a wonderful bacon egg grilled cheese. It was a heavenly experience eating it. SO her is whatcha gotta do.
1. Fry an egg. Simple as that, you can make it anyway you want it, over easy, medium, hard. Whatevs. I prefer over medium though so the whites aren't runny but the yolk still is.
2. Fry up some bacon, or be like me and get the premade kind.
3. Get bread.
4. Put butter on one piece of bread, place the butter side down on a skillet, place a piece of cheese on said bread. Then place bacon, egg, and another slice of cheese (if you wish to do so) on top of the beginning cheese. Top it off with another piece of buttered bread with the butter facing the top.
5. Let the magic happen and grill that sandwich.
6. Enjoy the little piece of heaven.
That is it for now, have a lovely week. - Reagen
